Do US citizens need an e visa for India 

For ease of travel it’s the most convenient option, India’s e-Visa system simplifies the process of obtaining permission to visit this diverse and fascinating country.

 

 

Indian Tourist e-Visa:

U.S. citizens planning to explore India’s beauty can apply for a Tourist e-Visa. Valid for 30, 365 days and 5 years with double and multiple entries depending on which visa you choose, it also allows travelers to stay in India for up to 180 days on each visit on the 1 and 5-year visas.

 

Indian Business e-Visa:

Those traveling for business purposes can opt for an Indian Business e-Visa, which is valid for one year and allows for multiple entries, with a continuous stay during each visit not to exceed 180 days.

 

Indian Medical e-Visa:

If seeking medical treatment, U.S. citizens can apply for a Medical e-Visa, which is valid for 60 days from the date of entry into India and allows for triple entry.

To be eligible for any of these e-Visas, U.S. citizens must have a passport with at least six months validity from the date of arrival in India, and two blank pages.

  • For the Indian e Business Visa: An Invitation letter and a business card.
  • For Indian Medical e-Visa: A letter from the hospital in India.

  2. Complete the online application form with your, passport, and travel details.
  3. Upload the required documents.
  4. Pay the e-Visa fee online using a credit or debit card.
  5. After submitting the form, we will check, recheck, fill and submit your application and offer a full refund if a mistake has been made by us.
  6. Upon approval, the e-Visa will be sent to your email.
